there were a little grinding and i mean a little and it was very faint coming from under the cab? maybe i should for now just replace the vacuum lines from one end to the other huh? Definitely going with the posi-lok system ASAP!!!!!

If it were the transfercase then it wouldnt go into low gear.....right? so it must be the vacuum leak then cause it just wont go into four wheel drive now? I would check the lines but there is too much snow and a bit cold outside to be messing around on it now? Does the udder on top of the t-case have four port going into it? thanks guys!

Those multi-colored plastic lines are impervious to all automotive chemicals.

I love my posi-lok cable, but it wasn't cheap. Prolly gonna miss it when I go to D-60's.

Quick fix, pull the vacuum disconnect from the front axle by removing the 4 bolts. Slide the shift collar over so it engages both axleshafts. Reinstall the disconnect housing upside down, the shift fork will slide over the shift collar in the engages position. The shift collar will remain engaged until you return the disconnect to the original position.
