Fly wheel and starter ring

I need to have a new starter ring put on my flywheel. The teeth are nibbled off enough to need to be replaced.. My question is,, in shopping for a new one, a new ring is like $18 a new flywheel is like $142,,, but both together allready assemled is like $200... Is it that hard to put the starter ring on a flywheel,, or it is just as well to get just the starter ring and peel off the old on and replace with a new one,, or should I drop the $200 for a set allready ready to go.. Don't need a new flywheel,, but if it is extremly hard to put on,, might have to replace the whole set..

any help will be appreciate..

THanks

Need a torch to heat it up and the ring will expand! Take a punch and a hammer and knock the ring off! lay the wheel flat on concret and set the ring atop of the wheel and peck it onto the wheel. Takes like just a few min's. Not a big deal and there you go. tug been there did that!
