factory tint

i was wondering if anyone knows if any zj's were ever given factory tint on the front side windows? i have tint on my rear sides and trunk sides as well as the rear windshield and wanted to get the tint to go all the way around the front sides too. leaving only the front windshield untinted. however, my car is registered in NH and there are laws against tinting, the only way i could get it to pass inspection with tinted front side windows would be if it were factory glass. so i was just wondering if someone knew if they ever tinted those windows factory on a zj so i could hunt around at a junkyard or something. or if anyone knows glass places that sell custom tinted windows (not the film tint though, has to be tinted glass) though that would be my last option as i'm sure its quite expensive.

I'm pretty sure they don't, most car manufacturers won't tint the front windows because of conflicting laws in states. Get them tinted, just find a guy that dosent care when he inspects it, long as it isnt too dark they won't care that much. Or get it inspected now and then tint it, then you dont have to worry about it for a year or 2. I had all my windows tinted really dark on my last car and they didnt hassle me much about them.

if you only tint it 35%, they won't be able to tell if it's factory of not. That is usually the darkest that you can go (and the darkest the factory ever goes) on the front-side windows. As far as it being film or tinted glass, you usually can not tell as long as you do a good job putting it on.

I would not tint only cause off road, you want the best vissibility as possible. But I think the glass is tinted glass like with 95% vissibility

as was stated in an earlier post, go NO Darker than 35%. if you have a dark interior, it will look darker than that N E ways. but you want maximum visibility out aswell. don't be foolish, cause some inpection places or even police officers for that matter WILL hassle you, or make you tear it right off, if you go dark limo tint stlye.

you should be fine INSPECTION wise, but as far as the police are concerned, it might be a different story. my neon has tint all around like you want to do (except the windsheild) and i've been questioned about it 3 times by the police. normally, state inspection looks for worn tires and brakes, leaky exhausts, etc... they don't care about window tint.

here's my tint... i don't know what % it is, it came with the car when i got it. i tell the police this whenever they ask what % it is and they haven't said anything after that.
