Engine Stalls when I make a full turn

I have this weird problem: In the most of times, when I have to make a slow speed big turn (for example, in a U- turn or inside a parking lot), the engine stops. The same thing happens when the engine is idle but cold and I put the transmission in R.

I hope that this will help as I to had a freaky start when I bought my 87 YJ 4cyl 5 speed. Out the 1st day driving as much as time would allow, as the day went on every time I made a turn with any effort such as your tight turn at slow speed my jeep would die. this went on for a hour or so then it stopped all togather. It was a simple fix. My fule gauge was busted and it read 1/4 tank but it was empty. So in a tight turn or a sudden break I was sucking air. Now if the tank gets really low same thing.
