Electrical wires ?

Hi,
Does anyone here know how to locate the starter wire and Ignition wires of a 95 YJ ? According from the manual I got, the starter wire is Yellow and the ignition wires are Dark Blue and Black/Orange, and they are both in the igntion harness. However, underneath my steering column, I don't finds anything like such. The only yellow wire that I could see is about size #18. From what I know, the starter wire and ignition wires should be size #10 or #12. And I could not find any big beefy wire coming out of the steering column. Any suggestion ?

I don't think you'll find a beefy #10 or #12 coming out of the steerng column, there's no need to run that kind of amperage into the column. Starting is done with relays and smaller guage wire, the thick stuff is under the hood.

Thanks, Bounty, but does the color code from the manual is right? Or it is me that I couldn't find the correct wires?

The FSM should be right on if it's for the correct year on model. We were just using one last night (off by a year) and the wiring diagrams were accurate.

It might be Green for the start wire. The whole ignition harness is located high up on the right side of the column.
