electrical plugs ????

I have a 98 tj and my gauge cluster is broken... Will a cluster from a 2001 plug up to mine ? I know they look different but I dont want to travel 2 hours for it to be the wrong one.. Also will the turn style a/c controls from a 2001 tj plug up to my factory plugs that are the slide style a/c controls ??

IIRC there was a electrical change in 99 or 2000. I know the PCM from the earlier years will not work after the change. So I would suspect the dash will not work either.
