got an electric fan out of a junkyard today...off a colt lol its about a foot across, do you think this will be enough to cool my engine? lemme know
If this is true, "and it sounds good" then why do most vehicals use electric fans that pull?if you go with a fan at all... a pusher is always better than a puller... it doesn't have the drag from pulling air throught the radiator... it takes open air and pushes it TO the radiator
space efficiency... most vehicles have no room in front of the radiator, and would have to move the radiator toward the motor in order to put a fan in front of it... plus... many vehicles these days don't even have a grill, and use air dams... and the air space in front of the radiator is crutial... but for anything with a grill, with somewhere for air to be pulled from, a pusher fan is much more efficient... plus... we drive in the mud... when mud and grass gets caught in the radiator, it creates more resistance for a puller fan to bring the air through the radiator... a pusher can still supply air to a radiator with clogged fins... the only drawback would be the fan exposed to the elements more directlyIf this is true, "and it sounds good" then why do most vehicals use electric fans that pull?
