Anyone replace there driveshaft with dom or Sch 40 Pipe ?
Just thinking it would be stronger.

why would you want to? - are you twisting / bending ds tubes?
 
you need to use 2" reciever tube. wont bend. and easy to make if you can weld. another thing is how are you goin to get it to slip, i doubt you have the ability to spline your own shafts....
 

Thinking of choping a shaft and just replacing the tube part. Keeping the original slip yoke and u-joints.

Was told its too heave to ballance, So I tried it out.
Working good so far. :mrgreen:
 

Even my jack is GM. :mrgreen:

I have seen people use hose clamps to ballance there driveshaft.
I guess the just move the clamp around untill it stoped vibrating.
I just got lucky with keeping it stright.
 
Interesting! You never seam to amaze me Tom! and when I read the sch 40 part, the first thing that cam eot my mind was sch 40 PVC, I was Laughing so hard!!!

Come on Johnny, everyone knows you can't use plastic pipe for a driveshaft. A rollbar ok, but not a driveshaft.
