distribuator issue!!!!! help!

I am pulling apart an amc 360 and I cant seem to remove the distributor. It wont move left, right, or up......it is really ticking me off and it needs to come out before can get to the timing chain and get to the rest of it. can anyone lend any advice.

After removing the retainer on the distributor it does not move? like seized?. Use a channel lock pliers along with a small towel to see if you can turn it.

ok, ya its not working. so whats the next step?

You may be able to heat the bottom around the shaft with a butane pencil torch or another small torch...heat is man's best friend when it comes to rust and aluminum oxidation..just a tought it may help.

Blaster is better than WD-40
Kroil is better than Blaster

spray it good and wait a few days.

tap it side to side (gently) to open up crack for the penetrating oil to get in.

You can pull the timing cover off with the dist still on it (I've done it)
