dana 35

i just changed the fluid in the rear end and noticed the numbers on the cover, so i looked it up.. all i really know is that its a dana 35, i wish i had looked inside more before putting back together! anyway...... how do i know if its a LSD rear end and do any of the number indicate what gears i have? im sure this has been asked many times before.

I think it's a 3:73 gear set man but I could be wrong.

If it's an auto it's a real good chance you have 3.55s.

How did you come to this conclusion?

Post all the numbers from the metal tag attached to the diff cover. If you have a limited slip you should have a second tag instructing you to use a friction additive in the gear oil.

Post the numbers from the metal tag on the left side of the diff cover, beneath two of the cover bolts.

if you have a 5spd you most likely have 3.07 gears. all the 5spd jeeps i have worked on have had 3.07s
