CJ Dash Removal

First, thanks for all of the information that everyone has posted on Jeepz. I had some experience with old CJs back in high school (15 years ago), so I decided it was time to get another one and start the rebuild. I have an 83 cj7 4.2, I've fought through the stupid torx bolts and have the roll bar, windshield, seats and seat belts all out as well as the dash, my problem is I couldn't figure out how to get the heater switch or the light switch off of the dash panel? I know it should be simple, but apparently it's above my intelligence level. Any help would be appreciated, I'll get pictures of what I'm talking about up this morning.

I do not have the answers you are looking for, but as I will be removing the dash on my 82 in a month or so pics and a how to would be really nice if you figure it out.

Look around the base of the knobs. There's a screw that holds it on the shaft. After removing that off the blower switch, turn the chrome ring counter clockwise and the switch should come off. On the headlamp switch, locate the small button behind the dash on the switch assembly. You must push this small button while gently pulling the knob from the other side and the shaft and knob should pull out. After that, just remove the nut that holds the switch housing to the dash and off it goes.
