Im getting ready to put a cb in my YJ and I just wanted to see if anyone had any pics of your CB install.

I mounted mine in a center console (a Tuffy knock-off) designed for a AM/FM/CD style radio. I just had to make a face plate to make the hole a bit narrower .

I use a magnet mount antenna on the spare tire bracket. There's room because I have the extension bracket for bigger tires.

Works great and I can lock it up in the console.

Mine's mounted on the front of my center console. It worked out perfectly, there's enough room there that the shifters don't come within 3" of it, so I'm not hitting my knuckles on it when I shift, and it's real handy to see and adjust channels and volume. It's so handy, because I really don't have to look at it or reach for it, it's just right there where my hand rests and I can do everything by feel without taking my eyes off the road. I've got an amplified external speaker mounted in the change tray of the console between the seatbacks, and I can hear everything loud and clear. I'm deaf in my left ear, so hearing a standard CB speaker is next to impossible unless I'm sitting still with the engine off. Actually, it's not so much being able to hear it, just understanding what is being said that is tough.

What cage is that. That looks good. I seriously thought about buying that tuffy overhead box. Just never seen one mounted in anyones jeep.

Ok i can't figure out how to link the page to this post but if you look under my pics in reader rides on the second page is a pic of the tuffy overhead unit in my yj. It has a cd player in it but you can get the image in your head. Mine kept falling down during wheeling or if i hit a good bump. The screws kept ripping out of the cheap metal over the windshield. I made a bracket and it's been up ever since and i love it. Everybody that sees my jeep for the first time is amazed at where my cd player is.

I bought the cobra with everything built into the mike so all I had to do was mount the mike clip and put a plug in cord on it and I was done. Now when I want to use It In another vehicle I can.

mines simply mounted under the dash below the radio/heater controls - the mike holder is up by the guages - need an aux. speaker as the cobra's is underneath and almost inaudible at speed.... the dual antennae are at the rear (just used the truck mounts and ran the bolts thru the tub...)

Toys by Troy bolt in cage. It went in real nice. I got additional spreader bars and the dash bar.
