can someone take a measurement for me

i need to know how long a jeep 258 is, from the point where the fan is against the pulley to the mating surface of the trans/engine.

i am comparing the lengths of my new stuff to the jeep stuff so i can see how stuff will lay out.

It's 31 and 3/4 inches. Just measured my spare 258

sweet!!! here are my measurements of the jeep vs ford stuff


ford
302: 29"
c6: 33.5"
np208: 12"
total: 74.5"


jeep
258: 31.75
tf999: 34.375
np207: 12"
total: 78.25"

so i will have roughly a 4" longer rear drive shaft running the ford stock powertrain from the bronco versus the stock jeep powertrain

and that is using the monsterous c6 transmission instead of the c4 which is what all the sites say would be good for my stock power 302 and light weight jeep. if i can find a nice aod, i will gain another 3" over the c6 trans

yup, i was worried it would be longer too because of the auto transmission. i know the standard guys gain alot of room when going to ford stuff but i couldn't find anything on the autos
