Bear with me guys, I'm full of a lot of things but at the moment it's questions.
Bought this 2004 4.0 engine, trans & transfer case. My Wrangler is a 1989 with a 4.2 and a 5 speed. I'm not sure which trans it is but I recall Peugo being mentioned when I was buying a clutch for it a yrar ago or so.......
Anyway, my son wants to know if we can keep the standard shift or do we have to go to the auto that comes with the engine. OR am I nuts! If we go to the auto, will the standard shift gear ratio's in the rears work out or cause problems &
I'll have to find gears or rears down in the 3's (3.07 etc.)
Any Help or opinions are greatly apprechiated (I only graduated HS so don't comment on my spelling).
