Back breaks not braking at same pressure

My Jeep just failed its MOT on the back breaks not breaking at the same preasure, anyone have any idea if they can be adjusted rather than buy new break shoes and if so, how to go about it. many thanks Dave

I'd start by bleeding the brakes. My guess is that one line has some air in it, causing them not to brake properly.

BTW - how did they test your Jeep in order to notice this? In Virginia they just visually inspect the brakes to make sure there they aren't worn too thin.
