Hey guys,
Im new to jeeps I just joined yestersay or the day before but I do know somethings. I was wondering what would you think would be better? A atlas transfer case or 4.88 gear ratio. 37 inch tall tires. Which atlas should I get if I get one? Im going into some DEEP water (snorkeling). What are the advantages of atlas?

An atlas is fine and dandy but it'll do nothing for compensating for the oversized tires in high range, if that's important to you. I'd select the correct axle ratio first.

^^that^^

and from a money stand point to regear you looking to spend about $500-700 for parts, the cheapest I have seen a new atlas sell for was a clearence sale from a vendor for a 4.3 atlasII for $2100 shipped.

but, if you gonna spend time in deep water, t-case and axle gears are not going to be your biggest problem, water will.

The other thing to consider is how much time will be spent on the asphalt. If this is a daily driver too then maybe it would be best to not lower the gears in the pumpkins as dramatically but lower the gearing in the transfer case instead. That way you will have better street performance but can get down and dirty when you fee the need. It’s a balance. However if this is just a water dog you trailer or only drive short distances to the play area then disregard the above information and build it for that.

Just curious and i dont mean to get off topic but why river raider as opposed to ARB or Volant?

River radiers is made out of metal while arb is made out of some sort of plastic. You can get the river raider color matched. Also I think it also looks good. They have put videos that show them snorkeling. If you look at there concept trucks like the ST Raider they look like they know how to build something.
