Any suggestions... please

Had to start somewhere, and this Forum seems to be full of nice folks... so here's my issue.

I have a 1984 J10 .. 4 X... 63,000 original miles. Carb sticks a bit.. runs good.. Body needs some work. Road worthy and registered...

Are there any folks who want vehicles like this, to restore for themselves. Either to keep or resell?

If so, how do I find them? There's such a limited market up here in Alaska and any interest has been from folks who want to run it into the ground and then junk it.

Being canabalized for parts isn't what I'd like to see either... I'd like to see it restored to it's old "glory". It was a real "looker" in its day.

Any thoughts would be welcome... Thanks...

PS.. Before the more logical and rational among you point this out... I know it's just an old truck... but...what can I say.

As I'm sure you already know Alaska is a different world from the lower 48. There are folks out there that would want to restore your truck,but an '84 J-10 is not the most sought after for resto.
I would try E-bay for getting an idea on what they're going for.

I agree with you that it's "not just an old truck" & if you weren't so far away I might even want to check it out. Good luck in your quest.
