Another Lift Question

Longer shocks, longer brake lines (can use YJ lines in front), transfer case drop or SYE. You will need to adjust toe and caster after the lift.

There are a few things you want to add as well, longer sway links, adjustable track bars, with three inches your factory track bars might not have enough adjustment to re-center your axles. I know you can get a reallocator bracket for your rear track but you most likely will have to purchase a new front.
And with three inches your getting close to where you might need a new drop pit-man arm for your power steering.

Yeah the drop pit-man arm i will have to modify a little, the transfer case drop i can make my self, and the brake lines don't seem to be that much trouble, but the sway bars and track bars, i will have to figure them out.

Well i bought that lift and it came with instructions telling what to do with brake lines, track bars, and sway bars, it tells you step by step what to do then we get to lowering the transfer case and all it says is "You will need to lower the transfer case" doesnt tell you how much or any thing just tells you, you need to lower it, so how much do y'all think i need to lower it (which i can do my self easily)

There are several kits out there starting around 1.25 drop up to 2-4inch kits.
I would think you might want to look into a kit 2-4 inch kit. These run around 55$ from Skyjacker. This way you could dial it in.
Keep in mind that you might also have to do some mods to your transfer case shifter linkage, Novak makes one off hand

Thanks, and i'd figured it would have told me how much. and after the body lift i did have to modify the linkage so i kinda figured i would have to do some more.

Well i'm 3/4 way of being done with it but hers some pics of how made things work. Made the shocks longer, and dropped the brake line down

BootyFab shock spacer, too much leverage on such a skinny spacer. I would have used square tube or anything to give such a tall spacer a wider base.

You did right on the brake lines.

Yeah its 1/2 thick it should, shouldn't it?
The Thickness will suffice, the width from the base to the shock is what i'm concerned about. if you give that shock absorber enough beating from a rough road, that will either bend or break. Bounty's suggestion is more like it. Give it enough base to sit on so that it will not shift and break.

Its sitting on about the same surface as it was on the frame

I agree. However, you have created a link between the 2 surface with a base that could shift rather than an extension. remember, that lower shock mount has a rubber bushing. if you were to apply a side to side force on that shock absorber it will pivot along with the axle flexing and bouncing where do you think all that pressure is gonna end up going?. I'm not trying to cause an argument , just trying to give you a constructive criticism for your safety's sake.

Ah i see your point now, this is just temporary until i get enough money to buy some shocks that are made for it, i would have used the stock ones and left them like they were but they didn't extend enough

Well here it is after a whole week
