Another Lift and Wheel Question

I found this forum this morning and the information is exceptional. So let me first say thnaks. I have a 2000 TJ that is completly stock and I cannot take it anymore as we are in the Dessert at least twice a month. Now for the question.

In spending the last 4 hours reading as much information as I could take, I am still pondering a couple of questions.

Is there such a thing as the preferred suspension kit?

If so, which one is it? It does not appear to be the Procomp kit. Is the Terraflex kit worth considering?

I want to run 33x12.5. Should I go 15x8 or 15x10? is 3 inches enough lift or should I go 4"?

I have been on the internet and stores for at least two months and I cannot seem to get any kind of consistancy to the information. This is a lot of money to spend and not be happy in the end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.[addsig]

Personally, with the 33's, I'd go with the 10" rims (but that's a peferance), and the 4" lift. I think the 10's look better, as they spread the tire out more giving it a little wider stance, and the 4" lift would give you better flex.[addsig]

I agree with both the 4" lift and the 15x10's. 8's don't look as good and are not as depedable in extreme circumstances. a 3" lift would work but there would be a better chance of rubbing and less flex.the suspension is really up to you. no, pro-comp is definetly not a favorite...but as far as 4" lifts go most are pretty dependable. I would go with skyjacker, they have a lot of different options (all good) for your different needs.[addsig]

I went to a truck show this weekend and watched an RTI comp. I watched 3" BDSrunning 33's, a 4" Skyjacker single flex running 33's, a 4" tera flex long arm kit with 33's, and a daystar puck with rancho long travel shocks running 32's. All were TJ's. They all scored within 15 point of each other. The guy with the tera flex kit was not happy. All of those kits have a wide range in price. I would stick with one of those kits though. personally I would run the 10's for rims they look better and will give you less problems in the rocks if pinched and flexed. Good luck
