My alternator is dead again I went wheelin on sunday I was fine kept the rpms up while wheelin no problems. today tuesday my voltgauge went into the red. As soon as I shut it off the gauge reads 12 for about 3 minutes then goes red again. I put up a splash guard to keep the mud out but obviously it still gets muddy. Is there any way to keep it from dying. Is it the mud or my winching thats killing it. I have a optima blue top and I keep the rpms at 2500 3000 when winching and I give it rest and I watch the gauge to not let the voltage dip too low what is killing me.. is 117 amps my problem Cause ebay has lifetime 165 amps for 170 bucks thawnks
