Well you all let me know if i am bugging you with all these Questions...
ok i want to swap out my alt. can i get some suggestions on what to look for at the Yard and what will give me the most power.

Aslo i couldn't find that 4.0 throttle body at the junk yard but i did get a new fan...

I just got a one wire 180amp alternator for $135 w/lifetime warranty from motor city alternators. Just look them up online. He has all kinds at great prices. What the heck I am going to do with all them amps I dont know yet, but I will find something for them eventualy.

Bolted rite on. Just make sure if you order one you tell him what kind of pully you have. I was sent a serpatine belt pulley and run a v-belt. It was simple enough to swap, but nice to get the correct one so you dont have to.

thanks again i will find that site and get one.
do you have a YJ too? or did you do it to another Jeep

RE: Murder/Suicide??? An interesting read........

Sobol, what year YJ? Helps to know if it's an AcDelco or NipponDenso alternator.

There is a great NipponDenso upgrade from the stock 70A to a 136A unit found in some ZJ's, Dakota's, fullsize Dodge trucks and vans. Nearly doubles the output and almost a direct bolt-on swap.

RE: Goin

'88 YJ uses the ACdelco unit. You can get some high-amp rebuild kits from JCwhitney for lobucks. They don't put out much at idle but scream when the rpms are raised.
