ac gauge

Hey guys new to site so hello. Wondering if anyone knew why my ac/ heat only ran on low and high? The two middle dont work. Temp wise ac amd heat work fine . Thanks

I have a 2003 jeep wrangler sport tj

The 2 possible reasons would be a faulty switch or a faulty resistor block. One way to check is to test the connector to the resistor block for varying voltage on each switch setting. If the test passes, the resistor block is faulty.

sorry to say its a common jeep wrangler problem,
It could be two things, the resistor next to your fan, but most likely its the switch itself.
The cheaper fix is try replacing the resistor block, if it doesn't work, take it off and return it, it is an 80$ or so fix by replacing the heater fan controller. They don't sell the switch by itself(autozone,pep-boys).

How much is a resistor block? And by switch do you mean the panel with all the gauges to control the heat? Thanks for your help.
