78 DJ5F need help

Hey guys, i need to find alternate VIN sites . The plate that was on the firewall is missing, and i have to find a # to title it. Just my luck get a fixer upper and might not be able to register it after building it up.:-|

Sorry, don't know much bout DJ's, but try the top of the frame, next to or near the Passenger rear wheel. You may need to check under the tub somehow.

 

[TLCJ5]

The only spot I know of is the top of the frame above the right rear wheel...stamped in the frame should be the first 2 characters & then the serial #(last 5 or 6 characters). You may be able to fill in the other #s by description.
eg: 1st 2 characters J8=Jeep 1978
3rd character(transmission) a=auto,F=3ps,M=4spd
4th & 5th character(wheelbase) CJ5/DJ5=83
6th character(GVWR) A=3750
7th character(engine) A=258,E=232
followed by 6 digit serial #

have a set of #s from a junker dont know where title is if you want the plate let me know than register as a rebuild
