2005 TJ/99 Hard top

Good day, fellow jeepers. Stumbled here searching for info, hope you will help me out. Bought a 2005 TJ with soft top. Found a hard top for it @ the wrecker. Winter is coming, so have just installed the top, everything's good except the connectors don't mesh from body to top. A "Jumper" harness came with the hard top, so the simple answer is to hard wire the jumper to the body, and plug into top. The trouble is, the guy I hired to do this apparently straightforward job says that the wiper motor is wired differently in 99 than 2005, so he can't figure out how to get the defroster and wiper to both work. Right now he has defrost working, but no wiper. He says the 99 has the ground wire as on? and the 05 has separate ground and on? Like I told him, the words are familiar but the language is foreign. hopefully not to somebody here?

The connector pin out on the rear wiper from the 99-05 model is the same. Brown/pink=ign, black= ground, black/ light green=rear wiper motor control.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. When I passed this on to the guy doing this job for me, he said that the motor's polarity was reverse? Am I getting scammed here? He said it may need a relay?

Huh?, Unless the prior owner has altered the wiring, the factory wiring pinouts was not changed from the 99-05 models.
