im thinking of getting a 2" spacer on my xj sport, what are the pros and what are the cons? this would be my first lift job so im open to suggestions

this is how it looks now, all stock suspension

its cheap and adds clearance if you want to run bigger tires. only downside is having to buy new shocks with the spacers for added height, but it is not required. The shocks you have will work, but ride quality won't be as good. Most spacer lifts can be used with suspension lifts too so, but if you do those make sure they are compatible before buying.

right now i have 30"s and they rub on u-turns because they are fat, i want it to have a more aggresive feel and i want the tires to work well and look good under it

Go 3" rough country!!!

thats what im leaning twards now, one of my friends dads has a lift he picked up because he remembered i was looking for one, im gonna go take a look at it this weekend :)

Hi,

with 2" you will only need new shocks for the rear end.
the front may be the same (I used them for 3 years like that, with no problems).
It is cheap, it will get you higher, 30" tires will fit.
Saar.

i actually just got some new shocks because the suspension was shot when i got the new tires

i just put a three inch from rough country on my 2000 xj sport and have the 31" tires and new wheels on the way right now i have 30" tiers on her. the only thing i dont like about block lifts is the ride is to rough for me down the road but the upside is you dont have to worry about the trac bar with a 2" block

it looks really nice the only problem was i had to put a new steering stabalizer on it and an adj trac bar but other than that just a 3 inch suspension lift from rough country

i never did post pictures of the lift i put on lol, i evntually put on the rustys bb 2" coil spacer and shakle lift and some spidertrax wheel spacers and now its one pretty lookin xj plus now my jeep runs like a dream, no rubbing what so ever. it also greatly improved my cherokees posture, i you asked me, id say that cherokees should have cone like this stock :)
