1985 cj7

Well here is my jeep, it's almost finished, for now...LOL... The last photo is what it looked like when I brought it home.

Bought a 1985 CJ7. it already had a 1993 4.3 GMC v-6 W motor in it from a Van.

I put in a t-5 and a world class transfer case, 4:10's, air locker in the rear, bed liner in the entire tub, new rims and tires, hot rod flats flat black, full poison spider cage with the seats tied into the cage and other added bars, all of the factory gauges work and the speedo is spot on.

I had some frame issues and other headaches but the end result was worth it!

On a side note I am a Admin on another site, myself and my mods usually delete the post with no pictures when there is duplicate threads and one has no pictures.

But I see for some it is easier to just make smartass comments.

Beautiful Jeep. I had one question for you: Why the T-5 transmission, or, are you gonna swap that out at some point? Also, are you going to swap in the Superior solid rear axles in the AMC 20 housing so the factory one's don't strand you?

Reply's have been sent to my spam folder so I have not checked the thread. I mainly run the dunes with my jeep, some light trail riding.

The cage is a poison spider cage and I added some tubed gussets in some spots. I also used some 1" square tubing to make seat mounts so they are tied into the cage. And added some bars on both side up front behind the rocker panels for side impact seeing I drive it on the street a lot. Paid $999 for the cage.

The paint is just a PPG black with a flatner in it. And at some point I do plan on changing the axels and such. The T-5 came about becasue the guy who helped me had done it like that one other time and parts were in-expensive and available.

I added a front bumper, rock sliders and the HID conversion for the headlights. I will load pictures later.
