Possible New Jeeper Questions (Buying a Used TJ)

1054251 buy the 6 with the 5 speed, and a hard top is the way to go. I had a soft top on my YJ, hated it. MY TJ has both tops and I'm tring to sell the soft top. :-D edited by: ajfrank43, Feb 08, 2003 - 10:27 PM[addsig]

    coil spacer size?

1071991 steelerman, I have the Tera long arm kit with a 1 inch body lift. I just recently added Tera's .75 in. coil spring spacers, when I received the spacers they measured 1.25in. So I just added them to the isolators and went with that much height. Looks great, probably could run 37's :-D ...

    coil spacer size?

1072011 steelerman, I just installed currie's new tie rod and drag link assembly, but thats about it. I never put my dropped pitman arm on and I use a rancho steering stabalizer. Currie says that their steering kit is good only up to 6 inches I have 7.5 and it's fine. [addsig]

what is the biggest 35inch tire?

1072173 GoodYear MT/R's are great for everything, there is an article in a magazine about tires and the MT/R's got the best for an all around great tire. Good for street, snow, mud, and rocks. My MT/R's are great, they aren't that loud either.[addsig]

    coil spacer size?

1072176 The Currie steering kit was about $400 and the steering stabalizer was about 45 bucks. I would most definitly get an aftermarket steering stabalizer, the stock one is just not enough with big tires. You said 35's for tires right? Well all the stock steering on your jeep is 1 inch hollow...

    Last minute advice???

1072780 I would do the belly up first. That gives you 3 to 4 more inches of ground clearance or breakover clearance. Then I would get rid of that weak ass front axle and get like a ford 9 in. or something bigger and put your ARB in that. Then the ATLAS II(4.3:1). Then the winch, because they...

    Let the lift begin!!!!!

1072783 Hey steelerman what brand gears and rear axles? So you went with the Currie kit. What made up your mind? You should also get the Currie Anti-Rock sway bar kit, I love mine. I just leave it on the loosest setting.[addsig]

    Let the lift begin!!!!!

1072856 Your jeep is going to awsome man just like mine. :-D I'm about to order all my skid plates, belly up, engine skid, rocker panels from Currie, and gas tank skid from Kilby. Where in Colorado is it that you live. I'm heading to Ouray in southwest CO. in september, jeep jamboree in th San...

1072857 steelerman how much are they charging you in labor for all of it? I just want to see how much I saved by doing it all be my self. Well except for the ARB and the gears.[addsig]

    Should I go with a 15x8 or 15x10 wheel?

1070667 I like 15x8, more ground clearance with a taller tire aposed to shorter wider tire on the 15x10. :-D [addsig]

do you use your daily driver?

1070669 My TJ is my daily driver. I've got about 7.5 inches of lift with 35in tires. It's great on the road, alittle bumpy, but it's a JEEP! I even have my Anti-Rock on the loosest setting. :-D [addsig]
