Hell yeah...sweet...now what t-case can i use to match my ford diffs and will the stock bell housing fit my amc 258?

the one my buddy has is out of an 79 cj so i was hopeing that it might have the granny low...either way its better than the peugot transmission i got...does anybody know what the peugot transmission's first gear ratio is?

dammit...i got confused after reading this site...it says that some of the 77-79 cj's came with the granny low gear t-18 http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techarticles/96258/index2.html

FYI. Law in Florida says you can take the doors off. a buddy of mine has a t-18 out of a 79 cj...how can i tell if it has the granny low gear of 6.?? instead of the 4.??.....thanks guys...

my HD dana 44 has held up to my 39.5 Tsl's for the last year...lol...i have even pretzled a front driveshaft :lol: ..however if it was locked it might be a diffferent story. also the hd dana 44 only has a ticker tube...the shafts are still the same size as any dana 44

some f-250 have a dana 60 frontend...they were the snow fighter series...however most will only have a 44 front...like junkpile said you can find a 60 rear or better yet a 14 bolt under lots of stuff. They arnt very hard to find.

i like the idea of a shackle reverse mostly cause it solves the problem of bend springs :oops: or at least helps it....gone threw way too many springs this way...let us know what you decide! i am still debating whether or not to incorperate this into my next rig.

RE: yj parts it depends what type of jeep you have and whether you lock out hubs or not....i would pull the cover off anyway and inspect the gears, replace the gasket with rvt sealant and put fresh 80-90w gear oil in her.
