    Problems...need help please

Your best bet to find a misfire before dumping a lot of money into it is to swap parts from a cylinder that's not misfiring such as plugs, wire, coil pack or injector. If the problem moves to the cylinder you swapped it to , you found the problem. If not , further diagnostics is required such as...

    Transmission over temp message help

If I'm not mistaken, I think there's also an inline transmission filter going to the cooler. Not sure which one but I think its crimped into the line before the fitting to the radiator. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    Reverse light options and suggestions

That will work Zach. I see a lot of ranch trucks here that uses that and they throw a lot of lights out enough for them to see. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    Reverse light options and suggestions

I haven't seen one like your describing. There should only be a Ground and a Positive on a reverse lamp. In this case, the red wire or the positive from the lamp should be wired to the reverse lamp circuit on the Jeep and the ground should be attached on the body..

    Reverse light options and suggestions

I installed a pair of the small oval Rigid LED lamps on the rear of my Jeep. Wired it on a separate switch however, i can wire it straight to the reverse lamp switch from the transmission if needed be. It's more than enough light you'll need when backing up. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    Transmission over temp message help

Pusher fan is what I was implying on an auxiliary cooling fan. I've seen people install them on their jeeps, mostly mail couriers... The only thing that would make a difference on the water pump is the impeller , not because it's cheap but, the direction or the design profile of the impeller...

    Transmission over temp message help

Since the trans cooler is modular with the radiator, it is possible however, is your cooling system running hotter as well?, you can try an aux cooler fan and see if that makes a difference...... Just a thought, anyone checked the cooler and lines for a restriction?... Poor circulation will...

    Transmission over temp message help

Fix anything you have on low voltage like a bad battery or a parasitic drain. Low voltage in the system will cause erroneous DTC in the PCM and will lead you to try chasing something that's not broke.... If after replacing the temperature sensor/ transducer and the DTC resets, check the wiring...

    81 CJ Duraspark wiring

I'd say chunk that ignition module and replace your distributor with an HEI unit. It's simpler and reliable. The wirings for the electronic ignition has no relevance to the alternator/ generator or anything to do with the charging system , if your trying to clean up the mess under the hood, HEI...

    Colling fan CJ5

Try Napa Auto Parts. I use an automatic fan control module that can be set to a desired temperature. Since I'm using a puller fan and having access to a Jeep Grand Cherokee electric fan, I've modified the mounting holes on the fan module and incorporated it into the Factory CJ7 fan shroud and...

    97 jeep grand cherokee problems

It's possible that the purge solenoid is causing the issue. Theoretically, if the purge solenoid stays open or intermittently opens, it's a vacuum leak... There's still a multitude of possible scenarios like what Greg92jeepxj has mentioned. Since there is a logged failure to that purge solenoid...

    Unsolvable e-brake wiring

Yes, Carnuck is correct. If your jeep is not equipped with an ABS system , the proportioning valve will have that switch instead of the HCU. Sent from my iPad using Jeepz

    Unsolvable e-brake wiring

From the cluster, connector 2 pin 9 , gray/white wire goes to the brake warning indicator switch. The circuit color changes to gray/black after the brake warning indicator going to the parking brake switch. The brake warning indicator switch is attached to the HCU, Hydraulic Control Unit A.K.A...
