Zipper Problems

the other day i noticed my zipper on my top had come unzipped in the wrong direction. I have tried pulling backwards without much luck. Is there an easier way to fix it. Can an interior shop fix it, by putting a new zipper on?

will this 35" fit

Try waxing the teeth of the zipper with a candle or bar of canning wax "parafin" the try zipping it backwards. This will lube it up and not stick so tough. Worth a try! tug

i had to get my windows redone and i got a marine sewing place to do it, they deal with those heavy zippers and mine were about shot, once you have to start pulling it back like that it starts taking the teeth down and it doesnt hold as good, might be a good investment soon to get them rezipped

That happened to mine awhile back, wouldn't budge even when lubed, I took some big honkin channel locks to it and was able to muscle it back to where it should have been. 1 tooth in the zipper took a little damage, but luckily the zipper has worked fine ever since

hey currupt how much did the marine place charge? my zippers are shot anyway, wouldnt hurt to replace them! I am sure it is cheaper than buying a new top!!!
