Does anyone know what the diffrence in a console for a yj and a center console for a TJ. I want to get one for my TJ but its only made for Yjs. Could i redrill holes or something? Thanks[addsig]

I dont think it will fit. The main reason is because of the e-brake. in a YJ the ebrake is the pedal kind, but on a TJ its the hand lever. The YJ one won't have the cutout for the lever.

The YJ's consoles are more like a 4x4, and the TJ's are more like a car :-O [addsig]

Nate, a dremel, try a sawzall, now we're talkin' They will not fit best to my knowledge but since we are on the subject, is it possible to transplant a TJ E-brake into a YJ. when you need to lock up the rear tires to take tight corners offroad, will free up a foot, just use the hand brake?

for those tight corners, just floor it and have the rear tires break loose!... you'll spin right around... :-)[addsig]

It is possible, and done. Install two, one for each rear tire, then you'll have 'cutting brakes'. Used by stadium racers and others, very effectice. Will also help gain traction to apply hand brake to the rear spinning wheel if you have a limited slip differential.[addsig]

Hey bounty...would that not work for an open diff as well? I know of a guy that runs dual hand brakes and I believe he has an open rear diff...he says they are badass.[addsig]
