yj help!!

jeepjeep!

Found a 94 yj today for sale, manual trans six cyl, a little rough, it has brand new best top, one body mount on drivers side is rusted, drivers side floor has hole rusted through to under the sahara sticker , other floors seem pretty solid, body has really rough paint and alot of dings, has new brakes and new shocks, missing the front drive shaft, My main worry is front shaft, do you have to replace the yolk too and how hard is it to install, any help?

It's an easy install if the yokes are in good condition. My main concern would be why the front driveshaft is missing, like possible hidden damage inside the front axle or transfer case. If the Jeep is lifted, it may be missing due to the PO not being able to work out the driveline angles.

Its not lifted, but its a lil more rusty then i first thought but still drives really good and the bestop is brand new, id love to have it just to beat around in, i just dont know what to offer him, i know its not worth 2500 , it needs some attention

Ths may sound lke a D*** move but offer hm a really low offer pointing out its flaws and see if he bites. You want to try to avoid getting in over your head from the start on repairs that cost BIG $$$. I too would be worried about the front axle or transfer case having issues w/ the front shaft missing. But at the end of the day its your decesion and if it makes you :) then it may be the Jeep for you.

i would be worried about frame rust more than anything. Parts can be replaced. I wouldnt pay more than 1000-1500 either way. As said above you dont want to pay 2000 for it and put another 2000 into it. Parts add up fast

I passed on the deal, i never offered him any money. I seen he had it listed on the net at 3000. I could get another xj for the money

3000!!!!! lmfao . for the yj! 94!!! in that condition?!!!!! good luck to him.
