ok my 89 yj with a rough contry 2.5 suspenison lift sits 34" at the front wheel well and 36" in the rear i have a winch in the front and after a couple of months i notice the difference my question is about front shacle lifts and how it changes the geometry of everything. Does anyone have REAL experience with them and does it change stability ? thanks for any input

A small shackle lift is okay. I prefer the boomerang shackles to prevent the spring eye from kicking back and locking against the frame.

Agree with bounty. A shackle lift under 2" longer (not 2" of lift) will be ok. I would also go with the boomerang or anti-kick back (same thing, dif name) shackle. May even try calling the company and telling them about it, they may let you return the front spring for one with a dif spring rate which would account for the added weight of the winch, I doubt it but its worth a call.
