Ok, since my jeep was stolen, and I finally settled, I need a new one.

Here is the musts

1. be a 4.0. L I6
2. MUST be fuel injected

Ok, not much to ask right.

here is some more of what I would like to see.

-Looking mainly 92-95, although would consider a new TJ if the price was right. I doubt I will find a TJ for what I want to spend though.
-Transmission does not matter, but would prefer an auto.
- mileage is not a huge concern. My last one wrang up 273,000 miles.
- Would like to know some maintainence history

Body must be relatively straight. Paint does not matter. Inside I would like clean.

Would much prefer a hardtop and full doors, or hardtop with half doors and top sliders. But if the price is right, would consider anything.

Can be modded some, or bone stock, just price it accordingly. My old one was beefed up for offroading, and this one will be the same, wether it comes ot me that way, or if I do it on my own.

Sound system does not matter at all.

Should not need any immediate work (ie, I dont want it if it needs a cluth or engine rebuild to drive)

Looking to spedn no more than $8000, and looking for a good deal, so let me know what is out there!

I am located in Western Massachusetts, and would like to find something close as well so I dont have to ship.

thanks
Barry

Do not know about prices in your area but here in east Tennessee you could buy a very nice as in VERY nice jjep for 8 grand. tug

Fan belt installation HELP !!!

well, I would like to spend les sif possible...but that is the top of the line for what I want to pay.

It seems that prices hold up very well up here. I have been scouring www.autotrader.com, www.cars.com and ebay for a couple weeks now and have found nthing that I find to be a reasonable Jeep for a reasonable price...close by at least. Found Plenty in TX :) but dont want to ship that far.

Buy one here in Texas and come pick it up. All it will cost you is a plane ticket and a scenic route home. Most Jeeps here are totally rust free. -al

I am selling my jeep it is not fuel injected but runs like a champ see my thread in the for sale board. Evan

why would you WANT an auto wrangler???

after owning a 86 Cj-7 with a manual and an 89 wrangler with an auto, I prefer the auto for heavy offroading. I find I have more control being able to left foor brake, right foot gas, and have both hands on the wheel...just my opinion.

Plus, both my other cars are manuals, and occaisionally it is nice not to have to shift :)

definitely were some good deals on there, wish I had seen it before...that TJ is nice :)

BUt alas, I did find something. I broke down and got another 89 carbed 258 (price was definitely right!)

89 white Yj, 258 I6, auto. hardtop and hard doors, 98K. no rust, excellent body. brand new installed weber carb, transmission and transfer 100%, new carpet, CD, and tires. Jeep alloy wheels.
Only thing was drivers seat was broken. I was able to get a set of Smittybuilt OEM replacement seats (reclinable and heated!) new on ebay for $300 shipped for the pair....so I got new seats now too...

now time to make it big, get big axles back on, and bring it offroading!
