wrangler top on a CJ7?

I am about to get a 1980 cj7....it has a hard top...what the hell use is only having a hard top for a jeep?????

any way...i was looking around and saw that quite a few people had installed the 87-94 wrangler hardware and soft top on there CJ, and was wondering if anyone knows the specifics of this?

How much work is it? Do I need to use the hardware from the cj top with the rail system from the wrangler? Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

oh....and what about the half doors....can i use the old wrangler half doors on my CJ7?

checked on my block today...

I just put a new Bestop supertop on my 79 CJ7 and the model was for both CJs and YJs.
