Will a wrangler roll cage fit a CJ7

I parked my 86 Cj7 next to my neighbors wrangler. It looks like the roll cage will fit. Anyone done this? The only thing I think I would need is a way for the side bars to connect to the windshield. Any Ideas?

yes, it will fit. There are three ways to address the spreders..

1. Don't install them, yes they are better then nothing, but reletively useless
2. You could mark the holes and then drill out the windshield frame and weld in some nuts or use a nutsert and attach that way
3. install a YJ windshield frame it is 100% bolt on but you will have to cut in the defrost ducts.




If it were me, and I didn't want to hack up a windshield frame but wanted some type of spreader and I did not want to go full cage, I would buy the OR fab front sport cage.

I really want the roll cage for the kids in the back. I would like the spreaders up front also. If by chance you actually roll the thing, I dont think the windshielsd on any jeep would hold up.

First what year Wrangler does he have 87-95? People need to say
YJ,TJ,or JK I'm sure it's not a JK. The later model YJ is the best and it will fit.
