this damn thing is really really annoyinng esp at night time. sometimes its on and sometimes its off. i know there is at least 3/4 fluid in the tank and it is telling me that it is low? WTF
The light is triggered by a float type switch in the windshield washer fluid reservoir, mounted to the driver's side inner wall of the engine compartment. It is likely that the float is getting stuck or the contacts of the switch are corroded and sending power to the lamp when they shouldn't be.
The most simple fix: unplug the 2-pin flat brown electrical plug from the top of the windshield washer reservoir. No more annoying light
hummm. sounds like it is time to take stuff apart and give it a good overall cleaning then!! THX I am an electrial type of guy so that shouldnt be a big problem.
hmmm speaking of windshield wipers, i think mine have recently died but i just want to make sure, the only way i can get them to go back in forth is if i put them on high speed and help them along, its obvious theres a little pull but i think its just that the motors are shot, are there any relays that could cause this or should i just assume its the motors
Could be the motors or the linkage. If you remove the panel just below the windshield, you'll get access to the motor and the linkage. if you spray the linkage with some PB Blaster, the wipers make start working again.
