OK, so my Jeep is hurtin' and I'm looking to sell. I'm also looking to buy. I would like to buy something in the 90's, but I do not know what year would be best. My price range is $4-7K. Thoughts anyone?[addsig]

Choices should be wide open in that price range at least around here in East Tennessee Through the mid 90's anyway. Wish I had that kind of money to go shopping with. Tug[addsig]

Thanks guys! Appreciate the feedback. I had forgotten the issue with the clutch (how could I, I have to add fluid every month to mine). What year did they put the front coil springs on ?[addsig]

1997-present wranglers (TJ) have coils front and rear. The cherokees have coils only on the front I believe.[addsig]

Car springs are in '97 and newer.
External clutch slave '94 and newer.
Larger front axle u-joints '95 and newer.
Family-style roll bar '92 and newer.
FI 4.0L engine '91 and newer.

Get a '94 or '95 if you want to stick with a YJ, the larger axle u-joints is not too much of a concern, depending on how you use the Jeep.

My stock '89 has served me well. It has no special aftermarket stuff and I have never had a problem with it. Of course, I drive it 100 miles/day for work, so it does not see a ton of off-roading. The off-raoding I do is usually crawling through the hardwoods looking for good caches of firewood. I do want to get into the '90's though and get fuel injected. I am tired of carbs. Fortunately my '72 J-4000 still runs flawlessly, but that's only used to haul the wood out and plow the snow.[addsig]
