I have a 1988 Wrangler YJ with a re-manufactured Jaspar 4.2L. I have this 3-barrel connector thing attached to one of my valve cover studs. Can you tell me what it is? And do I need to keep it if nuttering or converting to HEI?

It's a pulse air solenoid assembly. It was/is part of the emission set. They are usually disconnected or bypassed.
