Im almost done with my 87 YJ rebuild..

Im putting the wiring back in, and removing what is no longer used.. or never worked anyway.. (stock fog lights, rear defrost, diagnostic connecters near the battery tray, ECU, and anything else I dont recognise!)

I put the pedals and the steering column in tonight so I could start plugging in the loose plugs to make sense of things, and clear the clutter..

ANYWAY, what is the little black box the size of a pack of cigs..(theres velcro on it to secure it under the drivers side dash area..) It looks like some kind of thing a dealer might plug in to to see whats going on when the things crapping out...

Since I have no emissions, ECU, and a weber.. do I need this thing?

What is it anyway?

RE: parts needed

Hi-Ya, hoobness,

My guess:

It is the electronic timer module for the delay windshield wiper mechanism.

PS: If your jeep doesn't have delayed or intermittent windshield wipers, then someone fraudulently signed my name to this post.

Re: RE: cd players

It could be a government tracking device. Big Brother is watching.
