Super Swampers are the only tire I know of that run close to the advertised height (taller than other brands of the same height). Check out the TSL Radial or the SSR for a taller 35" that is aggressive offroad and still has the decent road manners of a radial.[addsig]

If you were looking at the MT/R and want to stick to that type of tread then look into Interco's (Super Swamper) TRXUS MT. Great on the road and off, I've put a couple of thousand miles on mine and I'm very happy with them. They seem to fill the space between regular muds and swampers. They're VERY quiet on the road and have great off-road ability with excellent lug clean-out. They have performed well around NJ in the mud and sand but I haven't beat them against rocks yet. I've run them at 10 lbs and they took that pretty well also, could hardly tell that they were aired down. My 34's are just a hair bigger than BFG mud 35's which goes along with what Bounty stated. Just look at all your options and take your pick. [addsig]

GoodYear MT/R's are great for everything, there is an article in a magazine about tires and the MT/R's got the best for an all around great tire. Good for street, snow, mud, and rocks. My MT/R's are great, they aren't that loud either.[addsig]

I couldn't tell you how much lift you'd need for a YJ. I only put 4" on my CJ and did a little trimming. I still rub a little when I'm all the way up so I'm gonna try some greasable shackles and then maybe trim a little more and new flares if it still hits. I'll do anything to keep away from a body lift. [addsig]
