Ok, since we are weber bashing.
Weber makes a great carb if its a geramn or italian made weber. The spanish ones are ok. Holleys are known for leaky fuel bowls. I, myself, would get a weber 38. I have a weber 34 and feel its to small for the 4.2 because I ran a 32/36 on my 1.8 litre bmw and when floored, the 34 and 32/36 both only open to 68mm diameter total.
I think if you run a 470cfm carb on this engine, you better know how to get the right jets and be able to read plugs because out of the box, that is cfm for a 5.0 v8
