Valet Key Question

I have a 2013 Grand Cherokee that I will leave the key fob in when surfing. I lock the door 3 times per the manual so they stay locked with the fob in the cab. The problem is that when I open the door with the valet key the alarm always sounds and drives everyone crazy. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

I downloaded the manual for your Jeep (you can get it here). Are you using the Emergency key to open the driver's side door? I'm not sure that I fully get what the manual is trying to say, but I did see this:

The emergency key allows for entry into the vehicle on
the driver’s side should the battery in the vehicle or the
RKE transmitter go dead. The emergency key is also for
locking the glove box. You can keep the emergency key
Wireless Ignition Node (WIN)
with you when valet parking.

NOTE: Entering a vehicle using the emergency key with
the security alarm armed, will result in the alarm sound-
ing. Insert the Key Fob (even if the Key Fob battery is
dead) into the ignition switch to disarm security alarm.
