vacuum lines

I bypassed pretty much everything eventually in order to get the most smooth idle. I eliminated the EGR valve, charcoal canister and the other emissions valves/ports.

I have a Weber set up and could send you photo's and/or draw diagram if you would like?

I found this on line and it's a good start:

i did mine even more basic then the drawing above.

distributor is run off ported vacuum (but can be run off manifold, your choice) on the carb, 4x4 is run off the manifold vacuum port on the carb. brake booster is run from the normal spot.

thats all i have and it worked great.

It depends on what jets and air correctors I use and what type of driving I'm planning on. I recently switched to the smaller weber and am getting about 17. I gone as high as 18.5. But Webers are a much more flexible platform because of the jetting kits available. They can be a handful and a lot of guys give up on them because of lack of understanding.

Even with a Carter you can do better than your current.

And 14 is not bad. I was getting 9 with a weber 32. I am up to 13 in town but I am running a four barrel Holley now
