turbo?

so my ma in law has a 98 wrangler with a 4cyl in it...she recently lifted it 4.5in and threw on some 31's or 32's i think...now she is very unsatisfied with the performance and wants to swap for a 4.0...of course this is alot of money and she;s never taking it offroad beyond the dirtroad she lives on so i was thinkin about putting on a turbo to keep the fuel mileage and save money...

or even swapping gears to make it more drivable...

any suggestions on gearing? or even a turbo...

Regearing to 4.56 is probably your best bet to getting power back and probably increase your fuel mileage a little bit. Unless you're really good with turbo set-ups I wouldn't even think about going there. Not a very cheap alternative and will only hurt your gas mileage on top of forcing you to use premium.

Is it an auto or 5spd?

I'd swap in 4.56 if it is an auto, 4.88 if it is a 5spd. 4.88 for the auto if it has 32" tires or any future chance of going to 33" tires.

sweet thanks guys...i didn;t knwo a turbo would give you worse fuel mileage...

i think she has an auto but i won;t swear to it...
