Transmission swap/conversion?

I have an '82 CJ-7 with 258 engine and a 4 speed manual transmission.

So far, the transmission isn't giving me any problems, but i am getting really irritated with the 4 speed. (I'm used to driving a 5-speed)



I figure that this is an older jeep and sooner or later, that transmission is going to start giving me problems, so i'm just looking for ideas on what i should look at doing when that day comes when i need to look at doing something drastic to the transmission.
