Transfer case drop kit???? 91 YJ

:???: Ok , I'm tryin to figure this out before I try to install my lift kit on my YJ. Does the transfer case drop actually bolt on to the TC or is the TC connected to the skid plate and you are actually lowering the skid plate? I'm really hoping to install the lift in a day.

Does anyone have pics of what this looks like installed? I'm more of a visual learner

The drop kit goes in between the frame and the skid plate thus lowering the skid plate. The transmission is attached to the skid plate so as the skid plate is lowered the X-case goes with it lowering the angle on the drive shafts.

They're generally either 6 pucks or 2 long bars 1" thick, used to space the transfer case skidplate away from the frame. The transfer case and transmission are attached to the skidplate so they're both lowered when the skidplate is lowered.
