I have a 95 YJ and those stupid bumperettes. My question is does a TJ bumper fit on the my Jeep and does anyone have one laying around they want to get rid of?

Bolts right on, and a decent upgrade from the bumperettes. They are fairly stout, I'm on my second or third TJ bumper.
You can cut off the tabs that bolt under the frame, and mount the TJ bumper upside down for increasing the departure angle. I highly recommend rewelding the tabs to attach below the frame so the bumper doesn't bend up.

what about a newer XJ front clip on a pre -97? is that a direct bolt on too?

I'd bet so, as they didn't really change mechanically as far as bolting the XJ together. Ask the experts at www.naxja.org/forum .
