Tires

Thinking about getting some mud tires and have Been looking and all seem to be to big for my stock 1999 xj sport. What's the biggest tire size I can have with my stock jeep without rubbing. Also I need a tire that is also highway friendly. Suggestions?

From what I've read you can fit 30x9.50 or 235/75 tires without rubbing. As to your highway friendly question I'm not sure (but would depend on your gearing).

Mud tires and highway driving don't get along. Mud tires want big open lugs and highway use wants closed lug types. The cross over would be a AT type, look at BFG KO's or goodyears MT's
