Hey! I reeeeeally want a Jeep Cherokee, but I wonder, I want a 1998 to 1999 Cherokee, not neccessarily loaded but at least power/auto, can you guys tell me if there are any problems with these years I should know about, and roughly what I could expect to pay? TIA for any help.... P.S. In case area matters price-wise, I'm in Cleveland. Thanks!

Make sure to check the front axle CV boots. If they ar torn get them replaced a.s.a.p. If they go to long being open to the elements the joints will go bad and the axles are kinda expensive to replace. That's about the only bad thing I know of. OH YEAH A freind has a mint 93 grand cherokee laredo for sale for 10,000. If you know of any one.

You should really learn to drive a manual trans.since most of your friends probably don't know how to drive one they will never ask to borrow yours.

No matter which year you pick, have your money ready and jump on the one you want. Otherwise it might be gone the next day. Murphy's Law!

Get it inspected by your mechanic (Thoroughly). They are great trucks that are strong but are often beatten by the people that drive them.
